Starts at the U-M Matthaei Botanical Gardens MAP in front of the conservatory. Trail in the gardens is flat and windy. Trail in Marshall Park is hilly and windy and made for trail runners. Ford Road is a pretty country road. The other roads are wide, safe, and pleasant with little traffic, especially on weekend mornings. Full route 5-6 miles. Extra miles? Do the blue route inside the gardens.
