These are natural, windy, hilly trails with great views of the river. Start at Zingerman's Deli. MAP There are predictably a few roots and rocks on the Argo and Bird Hills trails. If you're new to Bird Hills, you'll likely get lost. Use the detail map to get back to the Bird Road entrance. If you're at the Newport Road entrance, you can always go north to Bird Road east to get back. New as of May 2004 is the leg on the west side of the river at and south of Bandemer Park. The full route out-and-back is just under eight miles.
