Massachusetts runner Glenn Caffery, 49, is running 3,312 miles across the country to raise money and awareness for Alzheimer's research. He is running in honor of his father, who was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's disease at the age of 55 and passed away in 2002. Glenn began his run in Seaside, OR, on May 19, pushing a jog stroller with camping gear and all his other supplies. Glenn will be running through Ann Arbor this Wed. evening and Thurs. morning, July 27-28. One of his greatest joys of this trip is the opportunity to meet local runners. If you would like to join him for a portion of his run, send him an email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . There will also be a potluck picnic at Island Park in Ann Arbor on Tuesday, July 26 at 5:30pm, at which both runners and non-runners are welcome!
