Running the Rails in Ypsilanti is back for it's 24th running on the last day of the Heritage Festival.

This year's event is on August 21st, with the 10K and Kids Fun Run starting at 8:00am, and 5K starting at 8:15am.

Both the 10K and 5K are held on recently USATF certified courses (July 2010), and we area again endorsed by the Governor's Council.

Since resurrecting the race in 2007, the Ypsilanti Area Jaycees hold this race annually with all proceeds used by the Jaycees in our community outreach and service projects in the community.

In this past year, we were able to distribute 90 Thanksgiving meals to area families in need.
