Winter 2011 Social Night

The Ann Arbor Track Club will hold its Winter 2011 Social Night, beginning at approximately 8:30 P.M., immediately after the regular Tuesday night workout, on Tuesday, February 1, 2011, at The Original Cottage Inn.  The Original Cottage Inn is located at 512 E. William Street (just west of the intersection of William and State) in downtown Ann Arbor (phone 734/663-3379).  The AATC will provide pizza and non-alcoholic beverages free of charge to all AATC members.  Members must pay for alcoholic beverages.

Josh Perrin, the former Eastern Michigan runner whom the AATC is sponsoring to travel to Houston, Texas to compete in the United States Track and Field Association’s Men’s Half-Marathon Championship on January 30, 2011, is expected to join us and give us a report on his quest to qualify for the United States Olympic Team Marathon Trials (scheduled to take place in Houston in January 2012).  Other elite runners who have AATC connections will also be invited.

The Social Night provides an opportunity for AATC members to meet and have fun in a non-running setting.  Members who participate in the regular Tuesday night workout at the University of Michigan Indoor Track are urged to proceed to The Original Cottage Inn immediately after the workout. The estimated travel time from the indoor track to The Original Cottage Inn is 5 minutes.

The Original Cottage Inn has requested that the AATC provide a good faith estimate of the number of individuals expected to attend the Winter 2011 Social Night.
