On Sat., Oct. 2, 2010, the Zonta Club of Defiance is hosting the Fountain to Fountain 5K Race to raise money for the discounted mammogram program at Defiance Regional Medical Center . The program provides uninsured and underinsured women with discounted screening mammograms for $25.

Sign up before Fri., Sept. 3, and pay a $15 entry fee. After Sept. 3, and on race day, the entry fee increases to $20. For the runner registration form and more information, please visit www.promedica.org/drmc.

 The race will start and finish at Defiance Regional Medical Center, site of one of the Zonta club’s fountains, and will take runners on a scenic 3.1 mile run by the Zonta fountain at Pontiac Park near the Maumee River. The course is accurately measured by the Toledo RoadRunners club.
